Our first guest is Sneakers the Corgi. With almost 70k followers, this 6 year old girl is the Corgi Queen of Instagram and is known for her model-esque smile and funny costumes!
Hi Sneaks! I’m glad you and your pawrents could join us for our first ever Furside Chat! For those out there who are meeting Sneakers the Corgi for the first time, can you tell us a bit about yourselves?
I (Sneakers) am a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. I enjoy pizza, naps, and long walks on the dog beach. I’m totally into funny costumes. I have a friend that’s a mini pig. I live in the beautiful city of San Francisco, where on especially gusty days you can see my fluffy pants flying in the wind.
Where did the name “Sneakers” come from? Do you have any nicknames?
It’s a very boring story. I have little white paws, so it always looks like I have footwear on! Sometimes people we meet have other nicknames for me: “Sneaks,” “Fluffy Butt,” “Mini Doge,” “Munchkin,” or occasionally they’ll see me from a distance and just yell, “Coooorgiiiiiiii!”
What do you love most about your MawMaw and PawPaw?
They’re taller than me, so they can reach the treats.
I hear you like… *ahem*… LOVE pizza. What are your favorite pizza toppings? Are you an extra cheese kind of gal? Or pepperoni?
Yes, all of the above. Cheese and pepperoni are classic, but someday, I’d love to try a peanut butter pizza.
How do you keep that corgi body so trim and fit after all of that pizza?
I have very fast metabolism, great genes, and I can eat anything I want. I know, I’m #blessed. Just kidding; I sometimes get comments on my Instagram photos that I need to replace my pizza with a salad, but I fully embrace my unconventional body type!
You’re often photographed waddling around town while sporting a little owl backpack. What do you keep in there?
A frisbee in case we stop for a game of fetch at the dog park, and some dog biscuits in case I get hungry. You know, the usual stuff.
About your photoshoots… Who’s your stylist and costume designer? What’s your favorite part of the glamorous model life?
We keep it in the family, much like the Corgdashians! My hoomin sets up our ultra-glamorous photo shoots in our apartment’s tiny living room. My favorite part of modeling is that the hoomin feeds me treats while taking my picture. Sometimes they’ll catch a photo of me drooling during the shoot. And they say models don’t eat!
