Hi AnnMarie, can you introduce yourself?
My name is AnnMarie Brock and I am the owner/creator of Creations by Annie B, an Etsy shop that specializes in for clothing and gifts for Corgis and their Uprights.
Tell us a bit about how you got into your craft. In this case, sewing! How did you get into corgi clothing?
I’ve always enjoyed sewing and I’m what you might call “crafty”. If you own a corgi, you’ll understand that it is easy to develop OCD (Obsessive Corgi Disorder). A crafty person with OCD makes corgi stuff ~ I started with a holiday bandana and then the Corgi Appliqué Christmas stockings and I haven’t stopped. When people started to see the pictures of my babies wearing my creations, they wanted them for their homes so I dipped my foot into Etsy and the rest is history.

What does a typical day look like for you?
I’m a corgi mom so my day starts by taking care of Bob and Lola. Breakfast is the most important meal of a day for a Corgi. Ok, every meal is important to a Corgi. After Bob and Lola are settled, I’ll check email and Facebook while enjoying my morning coffee and then will dive into projects. I am impatient by nature so I like to complete and ship orders as quickly as possible.
Every item is made by me and generally made to order so I need to stay organized when cutting patterns~ Corgis come in a variety of sizes. I have a notebook with names, measurements and orders. It’s my Corgi “Black Book”. My Creations are not one size fits all; we’re Corgi Couture for sure. And because I make everything myself, I become invested in each item and think about the recipient, hoping that they’ll get as much enjoyment out of it as I do creating it. There’s a bit of me in each creation and likely a bit of Bob and Lola fur as well.
Show us your workspace. What does it look like? What are your must-have tools?
I have a workroom or “sewing room” that is overflowing with fabric. I do my sewing in there in spring and summer but in the cooler months, you’ll find me sewing at my kitchen island with Bob Corgi at my feet. You can always tell when I’m very busy because my workroom looks like a hot mess. UPDATE: Just did some spring-cleaning so I should be sewing in an organized workroom for at least a week. LOL. UPDATE 2: We’ve decided to upgrade my desk space and Bob Corgi’s Dad is hard at work in the garage as I write this. UPDATE 3: The new workroom is complete!
Can you share some progress photos for a project that you’re currently working on or completed recently?
I’m working on a corgi dress in a fun cotton print and something new for the boys~ perhaps an assault vest. Also working on a corgi friendly baseball cap. No pictures of the new creations but I will share them with Corgi Things soon.

What projects/creations of yours are you most proud of?
I love when I have the opportunity to do a special project especially if it is for charity. I’ve made Corgi Road Trip bandanas to benefit the Florida Corgi Picnic and have made a couple one of a kind Corgi Quilts to benefit St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Recently, I had to honor of creating a dress for a corgi named Harmony who was the Ring Bearer when her Moms got married. Her dress was the inspiration for my new Diva Dress.

But my favorite creation is the rain jacket. I love the look of it ~ very sporty with the stand up collar and reflective accents but it is also very sensible. It keeps our corgis dry and clean ~ the wide bellyband keeps a low rider’s tummy free from mud. Soggy bellies are no fun ~ I’m not a fan of the smudge marks left on my wood floors from a muddy belly either. My Rain Jackets look so sporty and keep your pup clean and dry. They are an essential item for any Corgi owner.

What’s the funniest or silliest thing you’ve made for dogs?
I’d have to say that my Corgi Tutus are pretty adorable. But the Christmas Elf outfit that I made for Lola when she was a puppy might take the top prize. She was the elf and Bob was Santa. It was cute overload.

What’s your most cherished corgi thing (that you own or want to own)?
I would love to have a stained glass Corgi item from Corgwn Creations. Lisa Davis is very talented artist. And I’d love to find a plush corgi that is life sized to use as a model when Bob and Lola are being temperamental about posing.
Do you have any upcoming projects you’re really excited about?
I’m going to create a new version of my Diva Dress in colorful cotton. It will be a more casual look. There are some fabulous patterns currently available for spring in soft cotton. And I’m toying with a new item for owners but that is a secret project for now.

We’ve wanted a rain jacket for the longest time. We got ours about a month ago and if fits Ellie perfectly! Her stomach was clean after today’s rainy walk. Plus it comes in school bus yellow! I love it!
Hi Tracey! Yay! I’m so glad you and Ellie woof your new jackets. Lucy wore hers today and she also has the school bus yellow color 🙂 Please send us a photo of Ellie in her jacket if you can… I’m sure she looks adorable! Email: connie(at)corgithings.com 🙂
I recently purchased a hoodie for my Bennie from Annie and it is just awesome! And so was the prompt, professional service from
Annie! I was so pleased and satisfied! I will definitely be back for more!
